This policy explains how Truemark Ventures handles personal data when you visit truemark.vc or contact us.
Who we are
Truemark Ventures is a trading name of Scaled Ventures B.V., Boterdiep 65, Groningen, the Netherlands (Dutch Chamber of Commerce number 88447413). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at [email protected].
What we collect
- What you send us. Your name, email address, company website, approximate revenue, your message, and anything else you share with us by form or email. Information about your business may include personal data about other people.
- Technical data. When you visit the site, our hosting provider processes your IP address, browser details, the pages you request and the time of your visit.
We do not ask for special categories of personal data, such as health information. Please do not send them to us.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not use analytics or advertising cookies, and it does not track you across other websites. Our hosting and security provider may use a strictly necessary cookie to protect the site from abuse.
The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser shares your IP address with Google when a page loads.
Why we use your data
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Replying to you and assessing a possible acquisition | Our legitimate interest in running our business, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract |
| Running and securing the website | Our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and safe |
| Meeting legal and accounting duties, and establishing or defending legal claims | Legal obligation, or our legitimate interest in protecting our rights |
We do not sell your personal data, use it for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects, or add you to marketing lists without your agreement.
Who we share it with
- Service providers acting on our behalf: Cloudflare (hosting, security, domain services and email forwarding) and Google (email and fonts).
- Professional advisers and financing parties, such as lawyers, accountants and tax advisers, where needed for a possible transaction and under a duty of confidentiality.
- Authorities, courts or regulators, where the law requires it.
- A successor, if our business or part of it is reorganised or transferred.
International transfers
Our service providers may process personal data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer relies on an appropriate safeguard, such as an adequacy decision (including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where it applies) or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as a conversation is ongoing and for up to two years after it ends, unless you ask us to keep in touch. If a transaction goes ahead, we keep the related records for as long as the law requires, which is generally seven years for Dutch business records. Technical data is kept only as long as our providers need it for security and operations.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation you can ask us to give you access to your personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or provide it in a portable format. You can also object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and withdraw any consent you have given.
To use these rights, email [email protected]. We will reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, the Dutch data protection authority, or to the authority where you live or work.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections to this site. No system is completely secure, so please think about what you send by email.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
